Kerrie Fahey

Kerrie “Buttercup” Fahey began her jiu-jitsu journey in 2017 and earned a Blue Belt in 2022 from Professor Jonathan Stutzman. She is a proud SicChic sponsored athlete of the past seven years. After the passing of her daughter in 2019, Coach Kerrie resolved herself to be an advocate for mental health and considers BJJ a stepping stone to the improvement of her own. 

Coach Kerrie currently teaches her female students at her Women Only classes, dubbing these students the Grappling Ladies of Wilmington (GLOW). Along with her partner Coach Hannah, her efforts have resulted in more women enrolled at Overdrive than men, at a staggering 60% for the first four months.

Coach Kerrie was promoted to Purple Belt by Professor Roberta “Crush” Paim on December 20th, 2025 and is currently the head instructor for the Kids BJJ Program.
