Bryce Whelchel

Coach Bryce Whelchel began his journey in 2016 at a BJJ Coach affiliate before switching to SAS Team in 2018. He earned his blue belt in 2021 from Professor Jonathan Stutzman and currently trains with his Professor, Roberta “Crush” Paim (4th Degree Black Belt) on a weekly basis. He earned his Purple Belt from Professor Roberta on July 13th, 2025, his 33rd birthday.

Coach Bryce is an active BJJ competitor, winning multiple championships between the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), Grappling Industries, Fuji BJJ, and the American Grappling Federation (AGF). He is also a Certified Instructor through the U.S. Center for SafeSport.

Coach Bryce plans to keep up with his training and pass on his knowledge to the next generation of grapplers in the Clinton County Area.
