Bryce Whelchel

Coach Bryce Whelchel began his journey in 2016 at a BJJ Coach affiliate before switching to SAS Team in 2018. He earned his blue belt in 2021 and currently trains with his Professor, Roberta “Crush” Paim (2nd Degree Black Belt) on a weekly basis. He earned his Purple Belt on July 13th, 2025, on his 33rd birthday.

Coach Bryce is an active BJJ competitor, winning multiple championships between the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), Grappling Industries, and the American Grappling Federation (AGF).

Coach Bryce plans to keep up with his training and compete often as he begins teaching the next generation of grapplers at Overdrive Jiu-Jitsu.
